Candle Care Instructions

LET IT BURN
When lighting your candle for the first time, allow the top surface to completely melt (reaching wall-to-wall). This helps the wax dry, evenly and smoothly. In addition, it reduces tunneling in the center of your candle. Also, allow the wax to fully harden before moving or transporting it.

TRIM YOUR WICK
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/4" in length with wick trimmers or elongated scissors. Cutting your wick increases the longevity of your candle, keeps wax free from discoloration due to chard pieces, and promotes a steady, even burn. Only trim your wick once wax has solidified.

MONITOR YOUR CANDLE
Do not leave your candle in direct sunlight or unattended, especially around drafty windows (with flowing curtains) and loose, flowing fabrics. Remember to distinguish the flame before leaving the room.

NO OUCHIES HERE
Watch children and pets around lit candles, melted wax, and potential overheating of the container's exterior. Place out of reach to prevent any potential accidents.

TIMES UP
Allow your candle to burn for no longer than 3 to 4 hours, at a time. This will prevent your wick from "mushrooming", caused by carbon build-up in your wick. This effect makes your wick unstable, creates a larger frame than usual, and creates soot that is released in the air and inside your container.

ROCK STEADY
Make sure your candle is centered on a leveled, steady surface, where it cannot be easily broken or knocked over. Do not sit on surfaces that can be easily scorched or burned. Place on a heat resistant surface or use one of our recommended coasters to help protect your furniture and belongings.

Enjoy!
